Public safety is often thought of in terms of physical safety but the modern smart city will face issues of data privacy as well. The following article illustrates the issues which face China and its smart cities, the database exposures which occur and the lack of security which leave all citizens of a smart city exposed to anyone who wishes to snoop on their habits.
